Crypto Exchange Gemini Launches New Mobile App for Crypto Traders

Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has launched a mobile crypto trading app with exclusive features for its users, according to a Medium blog post published by Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss on December 11. The mobile app is available on iOS and Android devices.

The long waited app allows users to buy and sell crypto, set recurring buy orders, send and receive cryptocurrency, and monitor real-time and historical crypto market prices for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), and ZCash (ZEC). Users can also see the total value of their portfolio, and set price and percentage value change alerts for their chosen coins.

Additional functionalities include Gemini’s basket, a newly-launched investment vehicle dubbed “The Cryptoverse”, which allows users to concurrently purchase a basket of cryptocurrencies offered by the Gemini exchange.

The mobile app also includes the same security philosophy the company offers on the desktop application.

In an interview with Bloomberg published, on December 11, the twins expressed confidence in the future of the crypto market, Tyler stating “We’re in this for the long haul,” Tyler said. “We think it’s a space that’s here to stay.”

With the launch of their new mobile app, the Winklevoss continue to show their optimistic views on the future of cryptocurrencies, predicting that 2019 will be a year of great innovations for the crypto world.
